At the EFI Mediterranean Network Forum 2026, I had the chance to pitch our chatbot prototype and exchange ideas on the potential of large language models in forestry.
Forestry knowledge is often highly specialized, complex, and spread across different sources. Our prototype explores a simple question: Can we make this knowledge easier to access and use? Using a RAG-based chatbot, we are testing new ways of connecting complex information with the people who need it in practice.
It was great to discuss these ideas with the community and hear different perspectives on where this could go next.
